 Cleavage: perfect in three directions forming rhombohedrons

 Colour: pink, can be colorless, white, yellow, gray or even brown or black when iron is present

 Fracture: conchoidal

 Hardness: 3.5-4

 Luster: pearly to vitreous to dull

 Streak: white

 Possible Useage: in some cements, magnesium, mineral specimen
