Details:

 The occurrence is located along the south bank of Pine Brook, approximately 750 m west of the junction of Pine Brook and Meat Cove Brook.

Further Info:

 Disseminated sphalerite mineralization (up to 15%) occurs within a xenolith of altered marble exposed along Pine Brook. The marble exhibits a similar magnesian alteration (brucite, antigorite and talc) to that exposed at the Meat Cove Zn Deposit located approximately 1500 m west of the Pine Brook Occurrence.

 Cleavage: basal, perfect in one direction

 Colour: white or colorless with shades of gray, blue and green

 Fracture: uneven

 Hardness: 2 - 2.5

 Luster: vitreous or waxy; cleavage surfaces have a pearly luster

 Streak: white

 Possible Useage: metallic magnesium, magnesia, refractory additive
