 The occurrence is 5 km northeast of Pugwash along the coast of the Northumberland Strait at McLean Point.

Further Info:

 Uranium minerals are in Carboniferous, clastic sedimentary rocks. An arkosic sandstone at least 25 cm thick, is intermittently radioactive along carbonaceous bedding planes. Other radioactive sections display oxidized patches. The rock strikes east-northeast and dips between 15-45 north. The uranium minerals are of an oxide-sulphate-phosphate association and include bacquerelite, schoepite, clarkeite, zippeite, bassetite, metauranocircite, and davidite.
